GTO muscle car embroidered patch trucker hat, Otto foam front rope - Gaston's Hat of the Week

Gaston's Hat of the Week: The GTO

Week seven, and Gaston has taken a sudden interest in cars. Specifically, he likes to sit in the open hatch of the delivery van and supervise. He doesn't drive, obviously, but he's developed strong opinions about which engines sound the best idling in the parking lot, and this week's pick is a direct result of that.

Week Seven: The GTO

This week's pick is the GTO Trucker Hat, a true vintage patch celebrating the Pontiac GTO on a black and white Otto foam front rope trucker.

Why This One

The Pontiac GTO launched in 1964 and is widely credited with kicking off the American muscle car era outright. Enthusiasts nicknamed it "The Goat," and it became the blueprint every other manufacturer scrambled to copy through the muscle car boom of the late '60s and early '70s. This patch isn't a reprint — it's a real, sourced piece from original muscle-car era merchandise, so once this one sells, we won't have an identical one to send out again. Gaston doesn't know a V8 from a lawnmower engine, but he respects anything with that much attitude, and he's decided the foam front rope build matches his personality: structured up front, relaxed in the back.

The Fine Print

  • True vintage sourced patch, not a reprint — set by hand, not printed
  • Otto foam front rope trucker, black foam front and white mesh back
  • Rope-trim bill, adjustable snapback closure
  • Handmade and packed in Perkinston, Mississippi

As with all our automotive tribute pieces, this is an independent PM Outfitters design and is not officially licensed by or affiliated with General Motors.
