Week six, and Gaston has discovered that he snorts when he's excited. Loudly. Constantly. Someone in the shop pointed out that he sounds a little like a pig, and instead of being offended, he took it as a personal endorsement. Which made this week's pick a foregone conclusion.

Week Six: The Piggly Wiggly Visor

This week's pick is the Piggly Wiggly Visor, a fully embroidered retro patch on a white Decky high crown visor. Red and white, a smiling pig front and center, and a whole lot of Southern grocery store nostalgia packed into one patch.

Why This One

Before Piggly Wiggly opened in Memphis in 1916, you handed your grocery list to a clerk and waited. The Pig changed that by letting people walk the aisles and pick things off the shelf themselves, and that's how the modern grocery store got started. Across the South, it's less a store than a landmark. Gaston never shopped there, but he's a big believer in anything with a pig on it, and he insists the resemblance is not a coincidence. This one's for anyone who grew up riding in the cart, or just wants a visor with a good story behind it.
